dont own yet
Morning all, any suggestions on a 32 inc ish smart TV please.
Thanks in advance .

Are you looking to run it from a 12vDC supply?

If so there’s a 28” LG Smart TV at Argos for £179 that comes with a 240v to 19vDC PSU which can be substituted with a 12v to 19v laptop PSU.

Make sure you’ve enough room for storage for a 32” tv, unless it’s going to be on a pivot arm or bracket. Also non-Motorhome designed teles might be more susceptible to vibrations and jolts whilst travelling…..

That Argos one sounds like a deal.
Regarding vibrations etc, we take ours off the wall and stash it in the bed when travelling. Mainly to prevent streets on the fixings on the very thin wall it is attached to when in use.

I started a thread here recently about Cello TVs. As a result of positive comments I bought and fitted one and I'm very pleased with it.

For a MH you want one of the Traveller range, these have a wider viewing angle and run off 12 volt with a built in voltage stabiliser to allow for voltage fluctuations.

They are a British company and responded very promptly to a couple of technical questions I had.

They do a 32" Traveller which you might like to look at.

We have an LG 24” smart tv in our van. It’s powered in the van from the 12-19V DC converter already mentioned. The TV cost £139, converter £36. 👍

It’s a far more superior TV than most of the expensive crap caravan recommended teles which are £400 +🤑

If your likely to want to pickup digital free to air channels in the EU make sure it has a DVB-2 receiver.
UK uses DVB-1 and so can't pickup channels in Europe

Hasn’t been an issue for our 22” LG Smart TV/Monitor. It’s had a good workout over the past 18 months or so over the mountain tracks in Greece and Crete, the filling shaking so called ‘trunk roads’ in Italy, and all on CP tyres @ 80 psi on the rear!

I've ran a 28" smart TV using a laptop voltage inverter for years & it uses very little electricity when wild camping.
I'm often surprised that more forum members use this trick.

This is what we replaced our 24" Ferguson (rebranded Cello) with.

Very happy with it.(y)

Freeview and FreeSat tuners built in.
Thanks

Removed both TV's from MoHo, we don't travel to watch TV.
Laptops & mobile data to keep an eye on the world, otherwise we look around.

We had a Cello for the Moho but really disappointed with the sound quality, it was very tinny.

We replaced it with an Avtex with built in DVD.

Picture and sound much superior

Don't ignore running a 240 volt one by smalll inverter. Yes there's a small loss from doing so (12%), but firstly being made by big manufacturers maybe they're a more efficient TV than the small run 12 volt TV's. If you have enough power and want a good/big tv this is the way to do it. Big 12 volt 'camper' TV's are expensive. All TV's now are solid state so all that stuff about vibrations from driving killing household is rubbish.

Most TV's have mediocre smarts and even if they're ok, they don't get updated very much, if at all. You're much better to use something plugged in for the smarts and the current favourite is the Amazon Firestick. Cheap and regularly updated. Also can have virtually any app loaded onto it - have a look on this site.

I ran a 28" LG 240 volt 720p tv for a while which was very low power use and a reasonable size, but the sound was a little weak and I wanted a better picture. So now I use a Panasonic 32" that is great all round. Got a refurb one off ebay which was good as new and not too expensive.
