Following an incident where my plastic wheel arch arch trim was torn from my MH by a branch sticking out from a hedge, I now have to replace it. The broken bits I recovered had the screws still in the arch with a pliable white "mastic" wrapped around the threads which must have been applied during manufacture. I now have the new wheel arch trim, the original retaining screws and two holes in the bodywork where the screws were pulled out.
What is the best way of repairing/replacing the wheel arch and sealing the screws into the bodywork so that they are still able to be removed? The major weight of the arch is supported by two retaining "lugs" which were undamaged, I imagine the screws are for ensuring the arch does not fall off over rough roads (unlike my rear bumper section which fell onto my tow bar whilst bumping along "roads" in Morocco!). Your collective expertise would be much appreciated as I also intend to replace the mangled rear bumper sections at the same time.
