Hi All

First post of many I think, can anybody please tell me which induction hob I can install in my van conversion, I don't want gas, just a two ring induction hob. Will any two ring 230 volt one work or do I need one specifically for a camper/caravan/boat?

Thanks in advance

Are you using it with an electric hook up or off a battery via an inverter?

Any will be fine on hookup, however using an inverter you need to know the total input watts of the hob. It'll be on the plate/sticker underneath.
If you only have one battery it's most likely not viable.
230 watts at 230 volts is one amp.....at 12v it's 20 amps from your battery per hour.
700 watts at 12v is around 60 amps.....or the discharge limit for a single 110ah battery

Hi and Welcome to the forum :welcome4:

As per the responses above, we may be better able to advise you if you let us know what batteries, charging system and inverter you have (or intend to) install.

Note that as a free member you are allowed 5 posts, after that you will need to subscribe in order to post, it's well worth it.

Edit: At 2800W I think you might struggle with the item you've listed above...

Cheers
Red.

To run that at full power you would need 1200ah of Lead batteries or 500ah of Lithium.
