Hi all

Which portable washing machine would you recommended, we have the carthago factory fitted inverter which i think is 1800w?? So need to be able to use it off grid.

Looked at a few online but always like to listen to recommendations, i know you have one of these Lenny HB

Most camping washers don't heat water so power required is not that much.
If you want to save space and not lug around a twin tub then some single tubs have a spin option.
I can't give a specific link but Google camping washing machine

Saw three for sale on FB market place. I'm in wales but these are widespread I find.
May be Worth a look

I have a twin tub I think it's the same as jezport sells, works well only draws 160 watts with both washer and spinner going.

Was looking at this one as its a bit smaller than a twin tub and we may have to keep it in the shower as the garage is rammed 🤣

LEISURE DIRECT ® 230V MINI 3KG CAPACITY PORTABLE WASHING MACHINE FOR STUDENTS + SPIN DRY FUNCTION Amazon product ASIN B00UOYODRS

I fitted something like this in our Big A Class

This is the one we have, don't take any notice of the price normally sell for about £120 and Jez sells then a lot cheaper to Funsters.

Argos do the Leizurewose twin tub for £99.00. Works really well for us

Had our Sunncamp twin tub for over 10 years now. No heater, no problem.

Used to have the twintub on my 3 vans ago van.
used it twice then never bothered, was easier for me to save my washing up then throw it in a full sized laundrette, or even drop it off for a service wash

I still can’t fathom why anyone would want to lug around a washing machine!
Most decent campsites have machines for washing & drying.
Any of the CLs/CSs & private sites frown on them for the water usage. They take a lot longer to get the washing done and even with a spinner you are limited with the weather to get it all dry!

They do wash quite well and they spin well. As for relying on the weather is that not the same at home for drying clothes. Do they frown or actually forbid them ? Never seen signs banning them.

We love hours easy to use, only weighs 13kg we don't very often use sites and often their machines people put thier dog blankets etc., in, although some sites do have seperate machines for dog stuff.
Doubt that the use anything like the amount of water an auto machine uses.

A lot of commercial machines automatically add detergent can't add your own, even had one in Portugal that added horrible smelly softener .

Never had a problem drying clothes in France, Spain, Portugal etc. Don't like clothes dried in a tumble drier.

I have one of the Streetwize ones. Brilliant things they are too. The spin drier is superb. (y)

We use one of those large lightweight tubs and a creda spin dryer bought off gumtree for £10. Even do bedding and towels no problem. Spins at 2400rpm so stuff usually dries really quick too.
