hi there
i have a 2005 autotrail cheyenne 696g and need to fit a bike rack on the back wall.i don't want a tow ball rack.i have spoken to autotrail, fiamma and leasure outlet and none are willing to recommend a suitable rack.I like the look of the fiamma carry bike ul which looks like it will simply bolt through the back obviously with some decent metal plates inside the garage.
Just wondering if anyone has done the same and which make and model rack was used.
many thanks

It appears that 700Kg is too much for aluminium walls. even with spreader plates they could cut through and drop down the flimsy wall.
Why does it need to carry so much weight? It could also overload the van.

You have a garage for the bikes(696g)so why a bike rack? I was thinking about putting bikes on a rack but then had a rethink. Why put thousands of pounds worth of bikes on the back where they are vulnerable when my garage was "full" of tables & chairs worth very little. Opted to put the bikes inside & a box on the back, but with a bit of a rejig I got it all inside.

I think the 696g is a reference to the model number of the motorhome, not a reference to weight.
