On my 2011,its under the passenger glovebox, dont know if its the same on 2008 but worth a look

It’s driving my husband mad. He has looked and doesn’t think it’s the resistor he’s now looking at relays... thanks

If its not the resistor it could be the rotary switch on the dash, especially if the fan is not working in position four.

What exactly is the problem?

If it only works on speed 4 and nothing at all on 1,2&3 it's probably the resistor - it's a common problem on the ducato, I've literally just had to do ours.

But, if nothing is working then it could be the switch, the motor or even just a fuse - I'm sure that the aren't any relays used on the heater fan

Also check the wiring on the connector, sometimes these overheat, melting the connector and making a poor connection.

Also worth checking the fuse box, mine melted the holders.

the heater has stopped working. There is no power to the resistor. The motor works my husband wired it direct.

On my 2008 van it is under the passenger glove box (A). Stick your head in the footwell, and look up. The loom and the resistor are clearly visible. From memory, the resistor is retained by one bolt, and then has to be slid sideways a bit, to release it from securing lugs. I Will check and re-post if it's different. I replaced part of the loom, as well, as it was charred - came as part of the kit.

I purchased a Resistor Pack and Loom Repair kit.
EDIT ......
