Sometimes they are covered under windscreen cover and doesn’t affect the no claims bonus.

I am with LV and I think that windscreen cover is for glass only not perspex but I will definitely have a look.

We had exactly the same last year whilst waiting for the ferry in Newhaven..... cost was around £1k.... insurance didn't quibble !!!

Claimed from van insurance and the company is Safeguard.

I don’t think I would be getting insurance involved for the price a replacement is.
Just a quick search bought this up.

Yes I found a slightly better price than that but I am not sure if I am going to have to replace the lot as when it left the roof of the motorhome it took most of the plastic hinge with it unfortunately.
I have refitted it back in place as a temporary measure and are trying to think of a way of repairing the hinge, then I may get a way with just the replacement top.
