Something tells me it's a one off post.very strong first post, really come out fighting
Did it get up your nose?the one with the dodgy devon dealer. Has it been deleted because it's one of the "Ringleaders" advertisers. How pathetic
What makes you think they’re dodgy??the one with the dodgy devon dealer. Has it been deleted because it's one of the "Ringleaders" advertisers. How pathetic
The thread is still there for all to see!the one with the dodgy devon dealer. Has it been deleted because it's one of the "Ringleaders" advertisers. How pathetic
AgreedIt’s someone who is probably already a member who just did another joining with another email to make a point..
To be honest I don’t know why the thread was closed…
Have to say it was a bit annoying the thread got closed with only one side of the story aired , Gingernuts didn't get a chance to respond .
Which to be honest I kind of expected.
But it certainly didn't match the details I was told from Gingernuts regarding the faults with the van
Engine management light on twice in the one journey , 2 different faults
Faulty heater
Faulty stereo
The fact he got locked in the van due to faulty locks and only one door which frankly is dangerous and had to get someone to open the garage door for him to get out in the end.
The 3 registered keepers despite being advertised then and now as a one owner vehicle.
or his payment refund being held to ransom till his review was amended. And he had to travel back down to Devon to receive it face to face despite the van already been taken back down there. None of the faults had been looked at when he did get back there. Despite it having been collected over a week before.
Both sides should have been allowed to post. Not just one side.

And he was threatened with legal action by the dealer if he spoke out.
Not exactly fair in my opinion.
Reviewing Companies
MotorhomeFun is a community for discussing the enjoyable aspects of motorhomes. It is not a place for posting defamatory comments about any person or company, regardless of how badly you feel wronged.
You can say what you like about any company as long as it is true and in the review section.
This avoids Pile-Ons
Open thread reviews often lead to unproductive pile-ons with comments such as, "My mate had awful service from them," "terrible company" or "Always made crap motorhomes." Mostly these comments are from people who are not even customers!
It carries on. When a company is later mentioned in another thread, even positively, these pile-ons start again. "You're lucky; my mate had awful service from them,"
Share your experience ONCE in the review section, and then avoid repeating it in open threads.
Avoid Emotive Language
Reviews starting with "AVOID" or "CROOKS" or similar language will be deleted. Tell your story honestly and objectively. Funsters will then decide for themselves if they want to use their barge pole to touch them. Without the risk of anyone being sued for libel.

To be absolutely fair then Jim that should also apply when people leave positive reviews surely otherwise it's very one sidedFor years, we never allowed any negative reviews here at all, this place was for the fun aspects of ownership and use. There were other forums and Facebook where you could go to moan.
I let this slip over time and a few negative reviews starting coming in, then as we got bigger, people would join us, just to leave a negative review about someone. It all came to a head when I discovered that someone slating a main dealer, was, in fact, the service manager of a rival dealership. So then I got strict about it again, and since then no one is allowed to say bad things about traders in threads.
Some people were asking to leave reviews, and we built the review centre to accommodate them. All honest reviews are welcome there, you can grade the service you received, write your review and people can comment on your review. Your review will always be there under the company.
As for the insinuation that I would remove bad reviews if the company was an advertiser here, well, I think I have proved that assumption to be wrong over the years. If my Mum had a dealership and had bad reviews here, they'd stand.
Below is a thread I post regularly, the last time was in May this year.
No one has stopped anyone reviewing the service received,Both sides should have been allowed to post. Not just one side.

I said why when I closed it.
