Hi everyone,

Those red and blue 'dot' stickers found on taps, any idea what the little blighters are called?

Or where I can get them from?

Like this one:

Thanks in advance (y)

I don't know but I think that's the push in cover hiding a screw/? to open things up to change a washer - Plumbing World?

Oohhhhh! I see!

Hmmmm...

I thought it was a sticker...

These coloured dots are obscured from view due to the angle of our taps, I was going to place a second 'sticker' on the top of the tap handle, in plain view.

I might need to rethink this idea (n)

The phrase - 'the Devil makes work for idle hands' springs to mind here....:D:D:D:D

Bit of red and blue insulating tape or similar(y)(y)(y)

Have a look in Poundland etc as you'll often find little stickers in them which you may be able to use.

I used red and blue nail varnish and made my own neat marks on the ones at home.

Excellent idea! Not sure how much of a mess I might make of that, nail varnish isn't something I use much of... honest :X3:

But I'll give it a go!

Just remember hot on the left and cold on the right

Indeed (y) But my wife's memory isn't what it used to be, just trying to make things easier for her :)

The worst tap is the shower, it's mounted on the wall at an angle where to see hot/cold you have to bend over so far that you'd fall out of the washroom!

Paint one half of a tennis ball red and the other blue. Cut a hole in the ball and jam it over the top of the tap. It works but don't expect any praise from your better half for your wonderful idea.

If you have some reinforcing washers for files/folders then use them to mask off the rest of the tap and just apply the nail varnish to the centre hole ... you could try using a Polo mint but I don't think it would work as well!

Find someone who does custom domed gel stickers & see if they can do something that small.
