I have just bought an Adria Sonic motohome and the instruction manual supplied is useless just a general guide and nothing specific about my MH.
Just wondered if the is anyway I can get a better manual.
Thanks for all your previous help
Jim

Same for our supersonic, absolutely useless! The merc manual is for a sprinter van!!! That has no relevance and the adria one is no more than a sales brochure!! Joke when spent so much

Some with my Twin. Go round and collect the make and model number of all the kit you want instructions for and collect from their web site e.g. Truma etc. that way you end with pdf versions which you can save to iPad etc and have with you or print if you prefer. You may find members here have some of them already.

Is this not just a symptom of the manufacturers not giving a shite and so many options available that even the core components (Truma or Alde as an example) could be very different, so what’s the point…

Burstner Manual is good. hundreds of pages, spiral bound. Lots of sections from tyre pressures/electrics/fuses to heating etc. some of it is generic and some specific to your model.

Bailey manual is almost useless. Very little about the Ford base vehicle and even Ford only do a generic Transit manual on line.

Our N&B manual for our Arto69GL is very comprehensive and hardly a fault in the English translation. I am also fortunate in that, although the 4th owner, a comprehensive collection of manuals- FIAT, Dometic, Truma etc. has been passed down the owner chain, as it should.

If I were buying again I would make it a condition of the contract that these were supplied and in my own language, making a breach of that condition a right to void the contract.

It is often said that manuals can be found on-line, but this is not true for models that were produced before manufacturers started posting manuals on-line. They have not retrospectively issued on-line versions of those that had been issued previously in paper format, presumably on the basis that these would be passed on to after-market buyers.

As some have pointed out above the standard of manuals is very varied. I might suggest that it might match the standard of the quality of the MH.

Might be that some dealers are not interested in supplying the manuals.

Our Adria Compact came with the reasonably comprehensive generic Adria manual and all the individual component manufacturers manuals - Truma, Thule, Dometic, Thetford, etc. - right down to the one for the TV bracket. All came in a cloth ‘briefcase’ with the dealer’s logo on

Once you get to own a MH then the next thing to do is find the manuals for individual components, cooker, boiler, heating etc...... Far more chance of getting those than a manual for a specific motorhome.

I use a Haynes manual for the base vehicle and downloaded individual installation, owners' and operating manuals from the web for each piece of habitation equipment (cooker, water heater, fridge, charger, water pump, toilet, awning.................).

For me the individual systems are straight forward, it's the integration of the A class between merc and adria

Hymer ones very good as well.

I received everything regarding Adria, including all the instructions for the component parts.
The Fiat manual? Worse than useless. Tried to download the manual, perhaps it’s me but I got lost. 2022 model, I’m not even sure the manual is up to date.
If it’s me then apologies, I’m old, surely they should have supplied a comprehensive manual?
I paid for it!

Ours came with in depth Burstner manual including stuff like how to operate the Truma heating system and everything else in the van. Also there was a pile of manuals for every individual component, fridge, cooker, heater, awning, electroblok etc etc, Fiat Ducato manual, satnav, radio/hifi, and so on. 3 big folders, all came in several languages too!

As VXman said, Burstener are very good. Our 22 Lyseo came with a BIG ring bound Burstener manual plus both installation and user manuals for accessories (fridge, oven, heater, etc), even though the Burstener manual even covers those items as well. We never travel anywhere without it and they are all kept secure and in good condition for when we sell on. Am sure it will be a small but important incentive for any potential buyer.

Did you get all the individual manuals? Last van we had (Challenger Vany) had a huge folder about 15cm thick full of all the manuals for all the appliances. Also had a thick Challenger manual which although generic to all Challenger PVCs was useful.

Hi from scarborough Monty, we have the sonic also , I think the manual covers so many variants it's more like a guide than a specific instruction book. Helpful but no too informative

For the Ducato manual you must download it from the Fiat web, with the vehicle you just received a quick guide.
You have to go to the after sales page, here, register and put your vin number.

I really don't understand why Adria still offer the manual from the 2017 van with the 2022 model??
Some parts are completely different, can't get why some such expensive vehicles have that almost useless manuals.
I've also compiled almost everything from each manufacturer, if not, you're lost if you have a problem 🤷‍♂️

I tried to get on that site - but despite having been registered for many years on predecessor Fiat sites I could not register or even re register with a different email address.
is there any chance someone has managed to get the 22 or 23 2.2 engine auto handbook that I could get as a pdf?
