Afternoon Funsters,

Not sure if i have already posted this.
We would like to change our motorhome but not sure the best time to do this, we know that with cars it is usually when the new number plate comes out but is it the same with Motorhomes? we will buy through a dealer as this will be our second motorhome and we now sort of know what layout will suit us but still relatively new to motorhoming and we really are enjoying it.

Any suggestions and help would be really good.

As you are changing our current one I would imagine as it suits you.
It used to be buy in autumn/winter sell in spring/summer but I'm not sure that's relevant now as a lot use it year round.

I would say it's at the time that you can find the ONE you want (assuming not a pre-order) as there is still a shortage of MHs even though things have improved.

If you're selling too, it probably makes less of a difference as any discount you get on it new one will probably also decrease the value of your part exchange.

I'd probably not get one in March/April, purely because if you find any issues, it'll take ages to squeeze you into the workshop to get it fixed because they'll be so busy.

In a ‘normal’ market, you buy when the dealer is close to their end of year and want the sales numbers in their fiscal year… in this market, who bloody knows! 🤷‍♂️

I think when you find one you want at a price to change that you like. I'd definitely get an idea of what ones like the one you have now go for before starting to chat to a dealer.

Thank you all for your advise, we have been looking but not seen anything that suits us yet, the other half is thinking of now looking again in September.
