Hi all
My motor factors shop bring up 2 different size bearings for my 16 in wheels,
Dukatto 1999 2.8 td engine,
One up to 1400 kg load and the other 1800 kg
What ever that means,
Van is rated to carry 3850 kg
Any ideas before we take it out and have to wait to get correct one

I would have thought you would be on Fiat q18 chassis , so 1800kg bearing.

Go to dealers armed with the VIN of your vehicle and ask for the part number(s) that are correct for your particular vehicle then go back to the motor factor so that they can cross reference their part numbers with the OEM ones. At least that would be what I would do in the Volkswagen world that I have always been involved with. A VW parts man, when given the VIN, will only see the parts appropriate to that particular vehicle and be able to help.
If of course you are looking for bearings for an Alco axel then the above does not apply as it's an after market addition to the vehicle.

More often than not as others have said a vin/reg number will get you the correct part. On odd occassions it might not though.
Most motor factors will take a part back for full refund providing you haven't opened/used the part. So ask first and perhaps get both and return the one that doesn't fit.

As said you will have an 18Q chassis at your weight.
Chassis are 10Q =1tonne
14Q=1,4tonne
18Q=1,8tonne
All bearings fit in the hubs,it is just that the heavier chassis have bearing that are more substantial.
I used to use 18q stuff all the time on my 10q chassis

Thanks for all that,
I will chance the bigger one ,
Will let ye know how it goes
Got a second opinion on that bearing that was supposed to be gone,
It’s not ,
Advised to get up rated tyres as front of flair very heavy ,
And get it tracked as wearing the inside of the right front tyre fully bald,
So going for light truck tyres next week,
150 each for them fitted and tracked more importantly,
