It's not standard so look around it and see if there's anything else that isn't standard, light , fan etc . Press it and see if you head any noises. Failing that follow the wires or if you can contact the previous owner and ask them.

The joys of second hand vans that people have messed with that seems obvious to them but baffles the new owner. I've had a few vans like that 😁

Stupid question, but what happens if anything when you push it with the 12v electrics on?

could by a tank heater, air con isolator, lighting, or just a dead button this has been disconnected

can you follow the wire from in side the cupboard the other side?
