Had one in Australia
Summer seems impossible to travel around Europe, but are the off seasons prone to camping areas/attractions being closed?
I'm finding this to a small extent in Northern Portugal for my November trip.
Are the Northern European cities the go in the off seasons

Most places with the exception of Ski resorts in school holidays are great to visit

Northern Europe ( France, Germany) in Winter, you will have a lot of the stellplatz and aires open near * Christmas* markets or ski resorts, in Portugal and Spain look on ASCI sites or on here for recommendations of where to stop, a lot of the free aires in France will have the services turned off to prevent frost damage but most Camping Car Park sites will still be on

In Spain & Portugal November, December, January & February is snowbird time. Aires & sites ramed with Northern Europeans mainly German and Dutch escaping the cold north.
March & April is good in Spain & Portugal getting warmer and Aires & Sites not so busy.
The south west corner of France can be nice in February.
