Whats it worth?

Rather than pay for insurance and storage for the winter months I'm contemplating selling our Bailey 540 Autograph and buying something else next year. Its a 2016, 22000 miles, FSH, Hab checks, newish batteries hab and cab, Alde wet heating, solar, alarm, new tyres last year and new MOT on purchase. No known faults. Had some very silly trade in offers, but what's it worth if I sell it privately?

Selling at this time of year you will possibly get less and buying spring time next year you'd likely pay more.

Buying at this time of year would be better .sales are slow out there at the minute

Unless you intend to rade down next year you're likely to lose less if you kept it and paid the costs involved.

Why not offer it for sale at a price a couple of £K more than offered by the traders or do a deal with Simon Select for an upgrade next year?

Have to agree. Seems an expensive solution to a less expensive problem.

Why would you want to chop in your bus? It sounds like you have made a lot of expensive modifications and additions that you would lose money on all of them. I couldn't do it to ours. It is adapted and modded to exactly the way we want it.

Have you considered shopping around for cheaper storage, and look for storage insurance rather then a policy that included driving it?

However, I am conscious that this doesn't answer your question, which was about value.

Get rid .. You can't like it very much if you are considering selling. There is nothing out there better than mine, love it. Had it 10 years now.
We just trying to sunbathe behind it but the sky's a bit UK at the minute
