All the gear, and no idea!
Hi I have 2x80 gels and am running a 2000w inverter for the spare portable fridge in the boot, I’m showing 12.2v now it’s gone down from 12.5 in 3 hrs and now I’m not getting any solar, how much longer can I run the spare fridge on the inverter or till it goes down to……..
Ta

Personally I wouldn’t go much lower than you are now so better drink whatever is in the spare fridge and then turn it off.

Is the fridge not 12v ? If it is, run direct off DC as you are loosing some power through using the inverter.
I run something similar with the fridge in garage through a 12v socket off 2 X 90amp lead batteries. If I am in any doubt I turn the fridge off overnight, if it's not opened it seems to hold the temperature quiet well until it's plugged back in next morning.

In theory Gel can be deeply discharged compared to standard lead acids that should not be taken below 50% which is normally just above 12.0V

With a load applied actual capacity and apparent voltage of a battery will be lower than the resting voltage. Resting voltage is the true measure of it's status.

I'd leave some spare for normal use. If battery has dropped 0.1V in three hours, turn it off when you go to bed.

Ah ok, I haven’t got a 12v socket in the garage atm, the fridge was a purchase from the caravan salon. It seems my etc tower fridge doesn’t want to go below 20 degrees, hence the spare fridge, so it seems my fridge is knackered🤷🏼‍♂️

Gel you can take down to 80% DOD which would be approx 12v that is the off load voltage 11v is probably OK under load.
You need to turn everything off then leave for ½ hour then measure the voltage.

Got home from Germany trip today and coupled the Said fridge freezer up to the cig socket on the hab side inside the moho, got down to temps within 30mins and hardly uses owt, so now with great words of wisdom from uncle Lenny HB i am going to put a socket in the garage⚡⚡⚡⚡😳😳
