What toad gets your vote?

We have a Fiat 500. 4 seats , rear seats fold flat if you need more space. Plenty of room and light enough to tow. We bought it from Towcars to Towbars and they checked out the van towing and electrics and fitted the system warning light in the van too, though it sounds like you already have the A frame. I assume that you will take whatever car you do get to Caratow for conversion? We also had a convertible Smart and an Armitage A frame, but found it too small for us and our dogs. We also use it at home as a ton car, so not exclusively a toad
If I had space at home, I would get a car trailer and than use whatever car I wanted as a towcar, and ideally electric or hybrid if money was no object. A-frameing is great but it limits you to the UK.

We've been tugging an IQ for the last four years. The poor little thing hasn't been used since last October due to the lock down. We've never had a problem but we were thinking of swapping it for an MP3 Scooter & transverse trailer this year as we no longer need three seats. Then all things went CV19 Crazy so I doubt we'll change this year.
Do you have a full bike licence?

SMART because you'll always find a SMART sized parking space. Brilliant choice if just the two of you. Light enough for one person to manhandle onto the back of the van (level ground).

Hi, No I don't have a bike licence but you can use the MP3's on a car licence. ?
Yes you can, but insuring one if you havent got a bike licence is a ( unexpected) ‘mare
Worth checking before you commit to one, not trying to interfere

I was going to get one ( I have no bike licence) and the premiums stopped me

We have a manual gearbox 4 door Vauxhall Aquila on a Tow Bars 2 Tow Cars frame, which I have fitted a Jockey Wheel to so I can hook it up easily on my own, which we tow behind our Swift Bolero. With a Trailer Vision Omni Vue camera system, with the rear camera fitted on an extended height bracket so we can see over the top of the Aquila, which makes overtaking & tucking back in afterwards, much easier & safer. The Tow Bars 2 Tow Cars system is really good as the electronics ensure that the ‘Toad’ brakes proportionally, when ever the Motorhome brakes, so we do not suffer with the ‘bump & go’ motion that you get with mechanical braking systems, and the A frame is much lighter. The people at Tow Bars 2 Tow Cars are very friendly and helpful - highly recommended! the Aquila is very practicle with 4 doors and for me the really good news is that I can (just) get my 2,500 Watt Electro Voice PA system, mixer desk, microphones and cables in it! The other good thing is that it makes negligible difference to the Motorhome’s fuel consumption when on tow and I am only really conscious that it is behind me when I overtake or need to reverse. In short I love it!View attachment 382559

Hi Chris, if you don't mind me asking how much was the Tow Bars 2 Tow Cars frame?
Just looking at buying a car to convert and wondering if its cheaper to buy a converted car from them or get one local then have a frame fitted by them or LNB towbars. Slighty restricicted on choice as we need Automatic & not a smart car so looking at Toyota/Citroen & Peugot or VW Up.

Thanks
