What is the structure on the roof of the Globecar in the pic
It's got 'Thule' on the side but I've no idea what it is or what it's for.

Thule do awnings mounted on their roof rack system so looks like that but it is quite small for an awning.
 
It's a load rack. Or as it's been rebranded a platform. Fits on load bars with feet, or just on feet


Thule is a modular system that until the new owners would facilitate all manner of load carrying. Now its all about monetisation with no flexibility.
