My Dometic cassette has a breather pipe, the blue tube on top. This plugs into the van when the cassette is pushed back in. My question is to name the Dometic part it plugs in to. This is the second time the part has broken. By chance someone kindly sent a replacement part last time, so I never did find out what it was called. Can anyone help, I have been and continue to search parts lists without success. I am sure if I took it off there would be a number on it but for the next couple of months I cannot get to it.
We discovered that if this part is broken, the smell from the cassette breather is not good.

We had something similar that went to the sog fan. Once you put the cassette back in place you plugged it into a hose to the sog but it didn’t look the same as yours 🤔

Can you let me know how you get on ,as we have the same toilet not had a problem yet but only used it for 3 weeks.(homebuild van PVC)
I was impressed with the ceramic bowl but the rest i think is very flimsy so if you have broken 2 the chances i will break one.
Perhaps putting some white grease or vasalene on the part would help in future

We have a Dometic toilet in our Adria. The sliding mechanism can get very stiff and needs greased with silicone grease on a regular basis.
There are a number of videos on Youtube showing you how to do this. Make sure you also grease the two sliding rods located under the silver handle.
Use silicone grease, not white grease or Vaseline.
The part that Rosalan is having problems with has not given us any bother so far, but I might consider ordering one to have as a spare.
The Dometic Cassettes are a real PITA to empty. You would need to have three hands.
They are also very expensive if you want a second cassette!

I believe its called an over pressure valve.

Thank you all so much. I too managed to find the part after a very long search but it seems it may be available in Australia, on back order in USA. As for lubrication, I use Silicon grease on all moving parts of the cassette. The slider works well for about a month before needing more grease. The wretched part was already well greased but still a chip came of a corner, this lets smells into the van.
pjay Thanks, the name seems about right but I have so far not found it under that name, in USA it is an Activator Vent.
My van is also an Adria.
Parts on Dometic stuff seem a problem on my van with the ( unavailable float in UK ) also needing replacing or $39 plus postage from USA again, so £50.

The only reason i said that is i've just fitted a sog to my dometic ct4110 and one of the sog instructions is to 'remove the over pressure valve', but that might be sogs term, dometic might call it something else.

It appears to be in stock from Spairs2 repair. Dometic Valve - Activator ventilation. (Just check that this is the correct part)

Thanks for that ,I can see that silicone grease is the way to go thinking about it .we have bought a second cassette as a spare and yes just under £200. Thought we would get one as they are not advertised in many places and was worried they may discontinue them .

Again thanks to you all. I have just ordered the part called "Activator Ventilation" which is part 66 on diagram and 242601491 in Leisure Spares catalogue. 39$ in USA plus postage and £16 inc postage here.
It took us a long time to discover that the toilet smells were caused by the end of this part becoming chipped, I must assume from my careless pushing the cassette back, which connects to this part at this time.
