What happened to the thread 'motorhome blinds - open or closed in the day.' ???

No big deal, just intrigued - I got a notification to say someone quoted my post in that thread but when I click on it, it says page not found.

I have looked/searched for the thread and cannot find it.

Did something happen?

Hi Funsters I am in Italy at the moment and every site we have stayed at most nearly every MH has their front blinds closed or screens covered all day, we leave our blinds open until we go to sleep as we like looking at what is going on, am I missing a protocol here, please advise

Maybe you are now on their "ignore" list ?, or have you inadvertently clicked on the "ignore this thread" button on that thread ?

Whose ignore list? The OP. That wouldn't block the whole thread for me would it?

I cannot even find the thread anywhere. Have I hidden from myself somehow? It doesn't come up in 'what's new' or if I do a search for it. It's like it never existed!

What section is it in? So I can have a more thorough manual search.

If you are on someone's ignore list, then you wont see anything that they post, including any threads that they start.

It could also be that you have accidently ignored the thread yourself.

click on your avatar pic, VXman it'll bring up your account and towards the bottom there is ignore, click on that and it'l show you what if anything you might be ignoring..
its easy done, i inadvertantly locked myself out of the morning thread like a dumbo a while back..

Nope, randomly one ignored thread but that was to do with healthcare. Cleared all ignores anyway. Still no sign of the blinds thread. Weird.

Interesting thought, do you see a blank where post 38 was or does the thread renumber itself

A gap would at least confirm someone is ignoring you, but what then happens if someone quotes that post , it could get very complicated

I am surprised at the number of UK motorhomes that do this too. On campsites and in more informal off grid scenarios. Outside covers on, internal blinds. Weird. It seems people like going away somewhere (often pretty) and just sitting in a dark, claustrophobic space.

I get some people like privacy but then maybe going to a campsite (particularly a CAMC style one) is probably the wrong choice.

For me - blinds not closed until it's fully dark and if it's a nice view at night too they will stay open. I never use outside covers.

Definitely looks like you're on ignore

I only found out someone was ignoring me when someone responded to a post that I couldn't see and then noticed there was a gap in the post numbering, don't know who it is I've upset
