We had a fitted sliding flyscreen on our Westfalia Amundsen PVC sliding door. It was always a bit stiff and awkward to use and the holes in the net stopped flies and mosquitos but let Scottish midges in. The strings in the corrugated net broke recently and I need to replace the whole thing. Is there any thing out there that is convenient to use, stops midges and costs less than the £350 (plus fitting) to replace the old one like for like. I know I am asking for the Holy Grail but does a simple effective flyscreen exist?

We have a couple of mosquito nets for beds left over from our travels in the tropics a couple of decades ago.
They work (to a degree) with Scottish Midges

However to really stop midges google 'No-see-um' Canadian mesh.
It works on midges, but not something you want to be enveloped in when it hot!
