What does it cost to fill your tank.

I don't worry about the cost of fuel, I only ever put £30 in 🤣

(Trigger from only fools & horses sketch)

That is like my Basia who always puts into the car Polish Zloty 100 and then again when it needs it, without knowing the price.

I clock the price every morning while I am dressing as the Shell price board can be seen from our bedroom window. Diesel reached 7.73 last week and is back down to 7.46, (£1.38). Petrol is £1.29. The two prices used to be 1-2p apart till the oil crisis.

People often ask what do iou get to the gallon I look and shrug, no idea I could work it out but really don't want to know .

Bought my new to me van in the borders and fuelled up at the super market for the return to Scotland £100 on the first credit card (until the pump cut off) and £100 on the second credit card! It still wasn’t totally full!!!!😐

I imagined the current fuel costs would reduce the number of motorhomes seen this summer, it doesn't seem that way where where we've been...

£200 quid ? I'm guessing it isn't the van in your avatar then lol.

Filled the bike yesterday from almost MT, £27.53.
Filled the scooter last week from almost MT £9.71
Motorhome, a lot more.

Less than a couple of months ago but still more than it should

Ouch. That is why I never let mine get below half full. Last fill was £150 from a fraction under half. Of course, it makes no difference in the end but makes me feel slightly better about it
I don’t normally but had engine issues so wanted to run it low, just in case, then I put additives in the tank, which is better with less fuel.

£1.80 yesterday at Morrisons in Sittingbourne so with a range of 62 miles left (according to onboard computer) it cost me £100.11 to fill up!

Very good reasoning - I used Forte in the first van prior to MOT time

Around €240! Travelling from Germany to southern Portugal in about 2 weeks.

It is crazy expensive now to buy a tankful of diesel. Especially the Supreme premium stuff.

When I have about £40 worth of Nectar points I use them to buy a top-up of diesel ordinaire at the Sainsbugs fuel station. It isn't really free diesel, but it feels like it.

But when you are using a whole tankful in one stretch on M/Ways it is more expensive to fill up than the loss of mpg due to weight
What motorway are you on that you use 200 quid of diesel in a fiat pvc?

Even this big slug gets 310 mile to a tank

No I said I used two cards (as £100 was the pump limit) as you can’t use the same card on the same transaction twice! Morrisons Berwick on Tweed.

Regardless it was still £200 you put in the tank which was why I asked in the first place.

I have just done a round trip from Kent to Argeles sur mer totle cost 630euros=£530 total mileage 1620. Average price 1.76 euros

1.795 Euros for Diesel Supreme at E. Leclerc, St Jean Angely. Before that £2.029 at Esso Staplehurst for Supreme+. That worked out at £154.24. Certainly at these prices, fuel is expensive so try to keep cruising speed to about 55 mph. Fuel consumption at last fill (in France) worked out just over 30 mpg.

Filled my Autotrail up today as it was on empty, £177 litre and it took £114.90. Not too bad. Range showed 410 miles.
