Hi all.

We are the proud owners of a new to us 2012 A Class Adria Sonic i700 SL.
The electric over cab drop down bed got stuck down and after a bit of digging I found that the little black button marked "Fuse 12V" next to the bed switch was the culprit.
It isn't a fuse, just a "push to break" reset button which is stuck open, hence not providing power to the bed up/down switch.
I've now bypassed this and the bed works fine, but I cant for the life of me see what the point of this thing is and wonder if I should replace it like for like or just blank the hole?
Below are photos of the button and the hole where it came from.

I'm sure one of you clever people out there will have an answer!

Many thanks

Neil & Lisa.

Does it maybe safeguard against the motor circuits overheating if the bed jams on something before it reaches full travel?

When I was bench testing my step last week I had to be sure to release the 12v 'fingers pressing bare wires on to battery' contacts very swiftly to avoid a burn when the step reached fully open or shut.

There are different types of fuse.
Their primary purpose is to prevent a fire developing in the cable should a fault develop in the component it is feeding.
Bi-passing a fuse is over riding a safety feature.

Ah, OK and thanks for the replies, I've never seen a fuse like this before but obviously its there to do a job.
Mine is stuck in the open circuit position so I will need to replace it, but cant seem to locate one on line anywhere.
I presume its an email to Adria unless anyone has any suggestions please?

Thanks
