As a result of fitting an Alugas refillable bottle, we have two fullish bottles kept at our French house. We’re going there soon and would like to use these bottles to run our Cadac for BBQs. One bottle is a Spanish 13kg with the Spanish adaptor for connecting to our bulkhead regulator. The other is a 13kg French propane bottle. Neither has a regulator.

So is it possible to buy a regulator or regulators for each bottle so that we can use these bottles and, if so, models, names etc please.
Thanks.

Can you supply any more information about the two bottles. Name, type of connector etc. Perhaps you have some photos of them. Then I am sure someone on this Forum can help.

Best I can do is a photo of the Spanish bottle with Spanish adaptor fitted and a photo of a French bottle “borrowed” from Stealaway who posted in a similar (but not identical) thread. 😉

There should be no problem buying a French bottle regulator in France if you can find who would stock them.
Maybe a Brik-o-Mat type shop.
I do have a new one with a new gas tube, I kept it as a spare, if you want it for £10 +£5 post

Can't help with the French one but this is the spanish one.

Brico Depot will definitely have what you need for the French cylinder

Thank you for the kind offer. As we leave tomorrow, it‘s unlikely to arrive by then. But I know where in France you can get such regulators, so I’ll buy one there. Undoubtedly, ‘Ingwe's Law of Motorhome related Parts’ will apply and it will cost €500 plus VAT🙂

The regulators all look much the same here in France but they mostly have butane on the package. Do you need a specific one for propane as both the French and Spanish bottles are propane?
We may order from Amazon as the prices are quite high €35 without the connector for the rubber tubing. That‘s another €9!
