I'm a newbie
Our Bailey MH has 2 pairs of 16mm cables running to the hab. battery.
1. EHU charging/off grid habitation supply
2. Split charge relay charging

Now I intend to fit an isolator switch by the battery + and connect the Victron shunt to the battery -
Do I need to fit a larger cable from the battery terminals or would 16mm be OK ? only one pair of cables would be carrying current at any one time.

NB. When tracing these battery cables they soon reduce to 8mm in the harness.

Or so I thought, turns out they're double insulated 4mm, WTF, lug crimps only go down to 6mm, had to use my old car crimping pliers to crimp a 6mm lug onto a 4mm cable.

Looks like I'll end up running 10mm cable/s from a pair of bus bars. More work and aggro.

Still haven't worked out how the split charge relay works on the fuse board - I'm using an Eldiss block diagram kindly sent to me by Two on Tour that I've modified to Bailey fuse setup - and as my habitation electrics are kaput at the moment, I can't go any further.
