What brush do people use to wash their vans with ? June is looking a bit dirty & I know sufficient enough not use the brush that I sweep the floor with. She's also been treated with a wax wash that's supposed to last for a yr so can I use a bit of Wasing up liquid in the water or is that a no no.
Any thoughts gratefully recieved but please dont get too technical...lol

A firm "no" to washing up liquid according to my nephew who is in the motor trade :)

Firstly where are you based ? Think hosepipe ban, does affect you ?
Hampshire & as far as I know there's no hosepipe ban. Wasn't planing on using a hosepipe cos I'm on grass & it will make a right mess. It will be a long job with a bucket but have no choice really

Thank you for your responses everyone. I've taken note, NO Wasing up liquid & will look into the suggestions on brushes.
Thanks again

We use one of these -
Amazon product ASIN B006DYWJ3I
Stored permanently in the motorhome as we use it to wash down windscreen, etc after travelling. Extends to reach the top of the sides and when on a set of stepladders reaches across the roof. It has a hose connector on it but just use with bucket\s.

If you use a brush make shure it is a very soft one. I have one I use a occassionly I think it came from Better ware over 20 years ago. If the van is dirty a good quality sponge works far better.
I always use a shampoo that doesn't have wax in it, Aldi caravan one works well & I think Fenwick do one.

The one I linked to above is very soft and the bristles are angled out from the ends so you can get into tight edges.(y)
Agreed on the sponges as we've got a few of those, as well.(y)
Currently using Fenwicks and it works well.(y)

Snow foam on the power washer then the same type extendable brush for main bodywork and sponge for windows and difficult to get to bits . Wash off with the empty snow foam lance as it delivers water via power washer at low pressure, although now I have a PVC it doesn’t have to be but for my previous Motorhome wouldn’t want high pressure power washer anywhere near it .

I use the long one that Lenny has pointed toward, plus I use a smaller lighter on straight out the bucket to get into the window trims, and any other awkward bits, It also attached to the hose pipe if you want it to.
I use car shampoo, or Caravan shampoo.
This is the short brush.

I've got a brush-onna-stick hose attachment. They are great for most of the van. But go easy on the plastic windows and sky lights. Mine are now covered in swirl marks from the light scratches.

Snowfoam, microfibre mop on pole, good quality wash and wax, paint brushes and one of these all ways comes in handy for solar panels.

I’m one of those strange people who finds cleaning the van, car or motorcycles very therapeutic. :giggle:

Soft bristle brush on a click together extendible pole. The pole has a secondary use as a height gauge for low bridges, if like me you're still feeling your way into your vehicles dimensions, :blusher: . As mentioned as well, handy to reach those baked on bugs on the windscreen.

Not all brush heads are equal. If you are intending on using a brush, may I suggest a brush head with soft bristles and bristles that also extend in a 90 degree fashion from the side of the head. Stops you banging non bristle parts of the head into your MoHo as you are cleaning.

Is there a way of delivering Snow Foam without a pressure washer?

(I know some people like a good toilet thread, but I prefer a good cleaning thread ;) ).
