Hi all.
The main battery for the engine, not the leisure one, is starting to fade. Have to keep it on charge or after couple of days of not running it's just will not crank fast enough to fire.
Any thoughts on dis and fonts on battery type?
The prices seem to vary a lot!

Just go to your local Halfords and get a like-for-like replacement, and get them to fit it.

It should be no big deal to swap the battery yourself. You should have decent access just by lifting the bonnet to identify the existing. You will struggle to do better than order a replacement from Tayna:

As for which battery - You do not provide any details of the existing (and you post is garbled) and none of us are mind-readers.

As suggested if you contact Tayna batteries and tell them the year of your Fiat Ducato ? based Motorhome they will be able to offer the correct battery , they are very good to deal with with good prices and fast delivery. If you are unable to fit it yourself , as also suggested , Halfords (or similar ) could be the answer.
As , I think , your Motorhome may be a 2002 year , apart from possibly needing the radio code , the replacement is a straightforward swop over.

Last thing I would do is get them to fitit, no way are the going to spend the time required to follow the correct procedure to fit.

However their battery prices are very good if you get yourself a Halfords trade card.

I've used Tayna several times and found them knowledgeable and keenly priced. It's not so hard to change a Ducato battery. Easier with a muscular assistant to help lift/lower it into the floor box.

Not hard but you do need to use the right proceedure to avoid problems with the electronics.

As fitting procedure depends on the vehicle and finding the radio code if needed is always a faf. I use a “Jump-Start” box. Clip the Jump-start clips onto each terminal before removing from the battery. Once removed cover each with a poly bag or cling film so they can’t accidentally touch each other or parts of the vehicle. Remove and replace the battery then carefully replace and tighten the terminals while still connected to jump start box. Usual convention is +ve first. When all fully tightened turn off and remove the jump start box. The vehicle never knows anything has happened. Do not attempt to switch anything on or start the vehicle during the process.
I wouldn’t let any Halfrauds employees touch anything on my vehicles either. £10 to change a bulb or wiper blades, 10seconds work? They probably wouldn’t know where the battery was on a Ducato anyway.
Hope this helps.
