My insurers are specifically asking for The spec of the base Fiat vehicle. I know it’s 2.3 diesel 5 speed But they need all the numbers after

Any helpers?

Can you find it by looking up the vin number ?
The 2006 age is the swop over date for Fiat between x244 and x250 models but a photo of the dash will enable confirmation

Fiat Ducato 15 MWB 2.3 JTD may be what they are looking for as a base ?
From the pic of the dash and the fact it is a 5 speed not likely but will be an X244 as previously mentioned.

It's definately an x244 but I thought the 2.3 multijet engine came with the x250 ?
I thought the x244's were either 2.0 JTD or 2.8 JTD

Happy to be corrected

2006 was the crossover year from X244 to X250, perhaps this van was built on an older in stock chassis

There was a x244 2.3 JTD - from wikipedia

The second series was restyled in February 2002, with the addition of rear and side bump mouldings and revised front grille. The engine range was: 2.0 JTD, 2.3 JTD 16v and 2.8 JTD, 2.5 diesel was dropped. Model designations were changed to reflect maximum gross weight: Ducato 29 (2.9 tons), Ducato 30 (3.0 tons), Ducato 33 (3.3 tons) and Ducato Maxi 35 (3.5 tons)

I agree.
My 2006 van should have rear discs, it's got drums, 6 speed box, it's got 5 and the face-lift cab, my cab is the same as a 2005.
My friends 2006, even though registered 2 months before mine, is the spec that for the year mine should be.
