What adhesive, buck converter heatsink?

Buck, it’s when it cuts, it takes a higher voltage, cuts it and convert it into a lower voltage. Ex 18v 1a in 13v 1,38a out. The power stays the same but voltage differs.
A Buck Boost converter can do both cut or boost the oncoming voltage. A B2B charger has buck converter. A Orion converter has buck boost. A mppt solar has buck, a wind turbine mppt has buck boost.

Yeah, thanks. I know what it does. :giggle: Just wondered why Buck? Is that a brand name or am I missing something obvious?

I just explained in my first sentence, it’s a function. Not a brand or name.

I stuck a heatsink on a 8 pin DIP chip about a year ago with superglue gel, it's upside down and still on it 👌
