Can anybody tell me what the top switch is, it presses up and down, I think and hope the stud below is the earth for jump starting,, the Motorhome is a Fiat Ducato, Swift Bollero 714SB

Could be for the alarm if fitted

I guess it is a bonnet operated switch, so for an engine bay lamp or part of alarm system.

It looks like a rusty old knackered bonnet contact for the van's burglar alarm.

It's for an under bonnet light or an alarm switch for if the bonnet is open . Easily replaced if not working its just a repurposed courtesy door switch

It’s knackered I think, but need recently try to use it as the earth point to jump off,,, mmmm,

There should be a dedicated earth point close to the fuse box

The earth point is the rusty bolt below it sticking out
