I am seeking some advice on whether or not it is safe to use Wet and Forget on my motorhome roof.
Normally clean this regularly, but this winter there is a very green covering which may be more difficult to remove.

Any Forum users done this? Did it work? Any issues?

Thanks
Graham

It may be safer to use specific motorhome/caravan products (Fenwicks, say).

I'd probably be a bit nervous about inadvertently turning my motorhome into a convertible.

No idea on your plight, but nice to hear I am not the only one with the ' green stuff' on my roof, despite regular cleaning.
Seems to have been getting worse these past 18 months probably due to some very wet weather periods.
Van is parked out in the open, away from trees, but in a North/South orientation and next to our Bungalow.
Hope you find a solution as I could do with some encouragement.

you could always put the potatoes in and pull them out in the spring 😉

Is it the chemical stuff like patio magic that makes the green stuff vanish after a few days ?

I used it on a previous van for 3 years and found it brilliant and as far as I know the roof hasn't dissolved or anything since and I will use it on my new to me van when I next clean it

I would say patio magic et Al are formulated to kill algea/moss in a specific and scientific way. Whereas bleach just bludgeons it to death. I wouldn't want to soak my vans roof with it and leave it be.
Have you tried bleach on your van? Some user feedback would be interesting.

How do you leave anything on the roof in this weather?

Used it several times on ours with no obvious side effects.
Ordered more yesterday off Amazon- sure on the bottle it says can be used on MH - will report back when it arrives.

I use it and not had any noticable problems, roof still needs cleaning but Wet&Forget does reduce the build up of the green algea.

Perfectly safe - been using it for a while and know others who do with no detriment to a range of surfaces from GRP to painted metal. Advice would be to use a good shampoo / wax combination to get the roof clean and then spray on a day when it will dry out slowly. It works when it's rained on and depending on conditions should last for the best part of a year.

What concentration do people use? Is it supposed to dissolve the green muck or do you have to clean the roof anyway?

It can be used from neat or diluted for less intense deposits.
Easiest way to use it is to wait for a dry spell, then treat the roof. Let it do its job, follow up with a wash after a few days if it hasn't rained (when does that ever happen?). It will still need a bit of work to get it clean. Treat the roof to a coating of a ceramic to help keep it clean.
Repeats will be needed.
Mike.
