We went on a small car with the pups, did see the bigger ones.
We walked over the back to the park then up to the museum, but see a bit more with the car

Hi Coastal Cruiser. whats it like in füssen? Would I get parked there tomorrow, or is it busy like up here? I’ve been told there are no slots to visit the castles this weekend, not that I want to (done em before) but is it an indication of how busy the Aires are there?

We arrived at about 1-30 and there was around 8 places left, by about 3-00 it was full and they put a sign up saying no more.
Depending on what time you are arriving we are off about 12-30 just off for a walk around the town then we will go so can save my space if you are here about then.
Imagine what over twice the NM's and another 4 gears would have been likeSo will I
Must say the van pulled like a train up the hills, although was down to 16.5 mpg
and btw slightly narrower.On a serious note love those roads on a nice day, was it ok lower down?

Was a strange road as it started off a slightly narrow road but ok for passing busses then it went very narrow but every now and then it would go back to wider with granite kerbs and drainage for a few hundred meters then back to rough narrow road again!Imagine what over twice the NM's and another 4 gears would have been like

All a bit random.
I also like these roads as you see so much more but this was not an enjoyable drive
Im no pussy but when it got like proper pea soup and no crash barriers I was getting worried
It did however keep Mrs CC very quiet as I think she was praying for help

Back in September so will visit then
Zepelin museum at Friederichshafen is nice.
We thought Neuschwanstein was best viewd from the outside, found the inside disapointing but was about 10 years ago so might have changed.

Fussen ? For us or you? We’re going down that way or we might veer off towards Bad Tolz and go into Austria that way rather than run the gauntlet of the 171 alongside the A12 as we have no go box Haven’t decided which way or whether we will stay for the festival! Safe travels.
Fussen is a nice town but is near the castles which are fully booked up all weekend into Monday so I’m told!

It’s a nice little town for a stop over and if you have bikes only a short ride from where the parking is.

When you turn into the road that has the motorhome sign go past the first parking camp and down to the roundabout as that is a better place to stay.
Also has its own restaurant that is ok for what you get.

Who’s idea was it to take the scenic route to Germany through Austria from Italys South Tyrol
7 miles of this and 2400m up the road was barely wide enough for 2 cars, throw in some German sight seeing coaches and local buses
Was glad to get down the mountain that’s for sure

This is a good view as it got worse after this, as in 6ft visibility and no crash barrier
Retarder come in handy on the down stuff I take it.

Which site are you on? If you’re on the move look out for the Carthago with the big minion in the windscreenThere were people moving this morning so you should be ok, we may even still be here

We got there around 1.35pm must have missed you, only saw one N&B entering the A7 at Füssen as we were pulling offWe left at about 1-45 and it was busy
We’re now on a Stellplatz at Rottenbuch, Austria tomorrow
