Its been a very long wait, delays all down to the Manufacturer, Victron.

But a massive thank you to RogerIvy @ off grid power solutions

For their fantastic service and help. It was even delivered 24 hours on a Sunday by Royal Mail.

Thanks

Glad it got there so quickly! :)

I’ve not got mine ?
We're getting the pre-orders out in chronological order as quickly as possible. According to Victron's system today, we're meant to have another consignment shipped at the end of this week, which will clear the remaining pre-orders. Hopefully, there won't be any more delays. It would appear that they're starting to catch up on the backorders.

Had a bit of a head scratcher to do with it today. Went out this afternoon and noticed my solar charger was saying battery 16v…😱 went into the Orion and it’s doing a equalisation phase..? Read a little on it and once a week it pumps out 16.1v for an hour to defulsification (spelling) the plates…🤷🏼‍♂️

You have Gels that's a good way of fooking them.

I am now seething with jealousy! 😆

Fuse holders are here and waiting. Just need to get my hands on mine now too!

I have the wiring route planned, the alternator checked and the bracket ready to fabricate.

Exciting times.

I have used a 60A fuse in this type inline fuse holder on both the in from the cab battery and the out to the hab battery cables on my Orion XS.
I have a 60A fuse at the cab battery end as well.

I’m no electrical expert but even I know it’s not good practice to install any electrics on top of a tap😳😳😳😁😁water and power are not a good mix:Eeek::Eeek:

Turn it off if it's been running every week since you fitted those battery they are probably not going to last much longer.
Good excuse to get your Lithium.

I’m on about the new Orion b2b Lenny…

really ?

I have ordered fuses. But thought it could be an easy way to isolate if required.

I have never used the breakers before
Unreliable often don't trip at the rating or don't trip at all. You can get reliable DC breakers but they are about £60, a fuse might be cheaper.

You lucky people! I would love some feedback after you have installed. RogerIvy will the discount on your site be going once pre-orders have been fulfilled? David

Thought you were talking about your solar I didn't think the B2B could do equalisation.
If it doesn't have a Gel setting set it to 14.2v with float of 13.6v no equalisation.
There are three preset Victron gel settings - Strangely they all seem to have auto equalisation set, so must be OK with Victron Gels - Definitely will harm Gels not designed for it (or any type of VRLA). I'm just fiddling with connect app in demo mode. So best to set the parameters manually I guess. There is also a Storage stage which the pre-sets seem to go for 13.2v

Do these victron thingys have to be mounted vertically? I haven’t seen one to see if there’s a heat sink on the back!
