0ADBC53E-E792-4664-8D2A-2DB945EF0DEA.jpeg Having moved into an old cottage with outbuildings we found these 2 old wheels - thought they were tractor and did wonder about cleaning them up using them as garden art:D. Have been told since that they are classic car wheels? Free to good home otherwise they go to the tip which is a shame or perhaps scrap man?

Collection from mid Cheshire

Thanks

I certainly wouldn't throw them away ...

... they are original fitting for Le Voyageur motorhomes and I sure @DuxDeluxe will be interested to replace his inferior wheels.:reel:

Such a shame you are so far away... currently scouring boot sales for such things for the garden

They look like very old gun carriage wheels

Chap before us had tucked them away in his outbuilding and the house is old and part of an estate so we originally thought tractor? Someone else said classic car but really haven’t a clue?

Maybe you need to have a rethink, they could be worth a bit :)

The 3 stud wheel looks like it’s from a Morris Cowley mid to late 20s

Brian,

I thought that they were yours.....different sizes each side to compensate for the wonky levelling jacks :moon2:

Had a quick look - there is writing on the tyres but very faint - they are well shot. Nothing on the frames that I can see (from a distance as they be spiders:oops:)!

Commonly known as "Artillery" wheels , from the 1920s era, my advice is contact your local Veteran Car Club rep DON'T DUMP THEM .

Either that or bung em on Ebay, buyer collects, they are worth a few bob.
