The Burstner Aviano motorhome that I rejected is back up for sale! It’s 5K more now!!!
“1 loving owner” that’s funny because it had one loving owner when I bought it!
However the V5 said 2 owners when I got it sent to me and after me that’s 3!!!! Somethings not right there!
When I took my personal stuff out and transferred it to my “old” van none of the faults were fixed!!!!!
BUYER BEWARE 😳 CAVEAT EMPTOR!!!!

Are you now in a position to divulge the full facts of your dealings?

Can’t say it’s not true. It may have had multiple owners, but only 1 that loved it 😜😜

The others returned it.

You beat me to it!!!

The worse car we ever had only had one previous owner in 4 years and low mileage. He must have traded it in due to the faults and because it was in the garage for repairs more frequently than on the road.

Just out of interest were you compensated for your costs? Travelling to collect and return etc cause its not a short distance from Scotland to Somerset

I have a very similar experience buying a motorhome from a company in the West Country!
On receipt of the V5 found it had been already registered to someone before me!! Was told that the original buyer had decided not to take delivery. I also found out that the price had gone up by £5000 before I bought it!!!
My bitter experience of the very experienced "honest" salesman!

Seems he's keeping his powder dry for now
But making many remarks about it!!
If the matter is now closed then theres no issue in speaking about facts, but maybe there was a hush part to the final deal.

So to be clear, is this the vehicle in question? Just asking as Somerset was mentioned and this is in Devon
Yes that's the van the op bought. I believe it was £29k at the time.

Somerset was my mistake. English counties aren't my strong point.

Ambitious too as this one Is far better in my opinion.

Having travelled to view a van he had and did due diligence in the reviews on the seller i would be more than a little tentative.
Digital images always look better than they are, mind at least you can check the mot on this one

I don't trust any dealer regardless of how much other people praise them up . End of the day their main goal is to make money everything else comes second.

The guy I bought this van off was also a dealer although he claimed he'd bought this for personal use and was selling it outwith his business. His business has great reviews but I strongly suspect mine is not the only van that he's sold claiming it was owned personally. No dealer with any real experience of motorhomes can claim to be unaware of obvious faults.

Personally I'd trust a private seller/owner over any dealer no matter who they are.

I would like to hear both sides of the story before drawing conclusions.
Me too, but I very much doubt we will.

So would I

I think a perfect way to resolve these issues and create trust in a dealer is for for sides to be aired fully on here instead of a case of something being hushed up and swept under the carpet.

I've seen it with other cases on here someone aires a grievance with a trader etc and immediately is buried under a deluge of people saying they've used the trader/dealer before and had no issues.

Either way with a market going down rather than up its very strange that a motorhome sold with 1 previous owner for £29k a few months ago now has 3 previous owners and the asking price is now £35k

You can’t get away from the fact it states one owner Lenny when it’s had at least 2, that’s not a mistake a dealer should be making…..😏

didnt think it was as dear as that when it was on sale before as i was going to go look at it,phew i escaped that one

ps ,just saw your post after this with the price before(y)

I would make it clear that at no time was I told my new van had already been registered to someone before I said I would have it! It was rather shocking to find on taking delivery and receiving the V5 that it had already been registered!
I cannot fault West Country Motorhomes, they offered to collect the van from my home and give me a full refund! But!! That of course would not cover all my expenses, equipment bought and all the hassle of starting again, especially as it was the replacement van for the one I'd had stolen!
I think that I can safely say I will never be buying a new van again -
from any dealer!!!

It was me, Select Motorhomes. We let him down. Will post the whole story tomorrow.
Things go wrong, we all know and are aware of that.

How the issues are resolved (or not) separates the good from the bad.
