Brilliant :)

I always wanted to do the TT, but funds and stuff made it impossible.

But big bollox to anybody who has done it :)

2 men 600cc 45 litres of fuel and a big heavy chassis

That does puzzle me, why 600 not 1000 ? Top racing uses 1000 to haul a single man so I don't get the logic.

Its changed recently F2 was 600, introduced as a cheaper way into sidecar racing, but its got silly price wise for an F2.
F1 at world & British was 1000 but now reduced to 600, that's why I gave up the expense of running a 600 is way above my pay grade.

1000s at the TT would not be a good thing in my view though,
I still have an F2 with a 1000 in it, it makes me grin whilst riding it but it wants to do nasty thing's to driver & passenger :p

The big bikes used to be here but at the time were judged to be becoming a bit dangerous.
However with modern chassis, suspension, tyres and brakes the 600's are going much faster then the big bikes ever did.

Thanks. Today was great finishing 5th and only 2.4 seconds behind Tim Reeves who is multiple world champion. Plus got our big aim Sub 20 minutes for 37 mile. Just over 113mph.

I'm confused now. What CC do you race?

I stopped when it was still 1000s, jumped a bit early as they put the change off for a while, but the outfit would have be unsalable with the 1000 in if I waited till now, so would still have had to fit 600 in it just to sell it.
Club men can still use 1300

Respect .. thats some going.

All I can say is any one doing the IOM in an outfit is slightly tapped in the head ?
Sidecar folk are the most sane, boring, steady, level headed people you will ever meet :pinocchio:
