Weird place to mount a solar panel ?

Ajuy , Fuertaventura today , Swiss van , never seen a panel fixed there before !
 
Looks to be hinged so can be lifted from the bottom for placing at an angle
Maybe they always park facing north 👍😁
 
It wasn’t hinged , I looked , sealant all the way round .
Other thing was that non of the blinds were up ( it was a red hot day ) and non of the roof vents were open , it must of been like an oven in there .
 
I bet the roof is full of solar too… it’s not an EV is it..?

The panel on the back will get the morning/evening sun and also give a fair bit during the day…😎
 
The bottom and middle fixings do look like black thumb turn screws. Suspect the hinges are inside the casing that's been constructed around the original panel.

Maybe that's just a stowage location? Maybe it's a non fixed panel they can lay out on the ground when on a campsite?
