So we are sat of the coast of wales , the heater blows out copious hot air when on full but maintaining a constant , 21 degrees seems nigh on impossible . Before I flared her up ( we are wild parking) I had the engine running and put her on full - no issues but now engine off and chilling with Mrs Bags and the heater set to 50% I don’t get much if anything .
Loads in the leisure btw . Any tips ?

Start the engine and see if it sorts it. If so leisure battery issue, if not then the engine running before it not relevant to the issue.
Cuts down on the fault finding data.

What you in mate , our ambulance does that, won't go if ignition off, have to keep switching on and off, supposed to be a wire to cut somewhere to stop it but havnt found it yet.

I think the dial is a thermostat you probably just need to increase it the heater will set the amount of heat it produces accordingly. When it gets to near temperature its almost silent. You cant actually set the heater to 50%!!!!!

it should cycle according to the temperature you set.. starts up with fan on full and as the set temp is reached the fan should slow and maintain your set ..temp.. you don't say what sort of controller you have .they vary from the standard manual dial to the digital type controls.. and make sure your temp sensor is unobstructed.

I’m in a chausson and haven’t a clue what the controller is . Since my last post it has kicked in at 50% ish . And I’m sweating one out . Possibly just tinkering with the controller settings I guess - sorry to bother ya’all

Try running with control knob on full, then once heat is where you want, turn control knob to the 'one o'clock' position. I find this works in my 530.

You may think the heater is not working but it will be on 'tickover' maintaining the temperature.

Ours has a mind of its own too. I can crank the temperature up to a stupid 30C and it does nothing in response. It sulks in its little box and after 15 to 30 minutes might finally deign to ignite and blow out, finally, lots of hot air.

I've played with different positions for the internal temperature sensor but they make no difference.

our Webasto is the same either roasting, takes a little while and on full, but doesn't cut back in, Italian van and the heater pipes are underneath. struggled with 2 leisure batteries (both new). :xangry: Next van will have a gas fire :xgrin:

This worked pretty bang on last night and I’ll try it again tonight . Thanks

Try just putting it straight to the 2 o clock position it will probably do just the same!
