The only one I can quickly think of is C&CC Inverewe adjacent to Poolewe. Not exactly Hampshire though! Nevertheless I'm very interested to see what others might come up with, as we like our gardens too.

You can stay at Kingston Lacy near Wimborne. NT property with formal gardens and extensive parkland. The CMC pop-up site at Beaulieu (National Motor Musuem) isn’t far from Exbury Gardens in the New Forest - 3 or 4 miles.

Ah another one: Three Trees campsite (http://www.threetreescamping.co.uk/) within a mile of Hilliers Arboretum, and not much more than that from this keyboard. But I've no experience of that campsite, so caveat emptor! Handy also for Winchester (eg park n ride) etc.

Logan Botanic Garden in Dumfries and Galloway is one of our favourites. The CAMC site at New England Bay is a five minute drive, or an easy 1/2hr or so walk away.

Logan house garden is next door.

If you are heading over to France this year I can recommend the International Garden Festival in the chateau grounds at Chaumont sur Loire. It runs from late April to the start of November. There is a lot to see, apart from the festival gardens the chateau has its own gardens plus there are usually various exhibitions on and you can buy a ticket that includes entry to the chateau and its fancy stables etc. There is an inexpensive campsite in Chaumont, maybe 10 mins walk to the chateau. Links below.

I can recommend looking at some of the Loire chateaux gardens. Villandry is particularly lovely and the camping car park aire is just a short walk from the chateau.

You can stay nearby, Gray Farm is probably the closest, walking distance to Eden Project.

A great garden to visit is at Etretat, northern France.
There is a campsite and Aire on the edge of town.

In Dordongne, The Marqueyssac Gardens near Sarlat are worth a visit. We stayed overnight in free Carrefour supermarket aire in Sarlat and did our shopping. Market day on Saturdays.

Another vote for Villandry. Absolutely stunning and the Camping Car Park is one of the best we've stayed at.

If you ever travel north to Gods own county we live within the grounds of Newby Hall & Gardens. Beautiful gardens and reportedly the finest herbaceous border in the UK. You can also visit the house. Parking 5 mins away in Boroughbridge in local car park where the council have marked out overnight motorhome parking or there's a Camping and Caravanning site nearby. If you get stuck you're welcome to park at our home. 2 minute walk to the gardens.
