I have a water problem that seems simple but is beating me.
Filling the van up with water after winter I noticed a thin stream of water running out of the bodywork at the back. Pressurised system is fine, the tank half full and within the areas of pipes, everything dry.
The water only comes out when I put the hose on to fill. So I removed all the pipes up to the tank, everything is dry, including the water entry filler point and the connections at both ends. Nothing is wet at all but water runs out when I fill the tank.
I am hoping someone else has experience of this and found a sollution, truly puzzled.

If you're basing the 'tank half full' on the on board gauge, I suspect yours is a inaccurate as mine is, the tank's actually full, and what you're seeing is the overflow.

If you've got an inspection hatch you can open, I'd check.

In addition to an overflow when full, our fresh water tank has two 'dump' valves, one of which works to completely empty the tank & the other to drain it down to 20 Litres for travelling, you don't have a similar setup?

Trevor Wbm and ROCHESB Thank you for your replies. My tank is on 25% which is really minimum and I have just closed the three dump valves. The water only runs out through the bodywork when I try filling with water from my hose.
The only place I can now think of leaking could be the water inlet unit which I pulled away from its mastic but did not test for leaks as none were evident. I have ordered a new unit anyhow as the flap would not stay up and it is just possible this could be carrying a hidden leak.

Hope you get it sorted out ok rosalan

Thanks for the update. Keep in mind you can fill up via the inspection hatch if you have one.

(I say this having once spent over an hour trying to bodge a hose on to a petrol pump like nozzle in Holland using several feet of gaffer tape unsuccessfully, and getting wet through from the spraying leaks. I reckon I was about 2 miles down the road when the light bulb moment occurred).

Sounds like a pipe FROM sink / shower / bathroom has split - my old coach-built had three lines of the flexy pipe and all ran direct to waste tank rather than a manifold inside and one pipe. Meant my tank had a large inspection cap underneath as well as one 4 inlets and an overflow!
