A friend’s water pump on his Bailey MH is not working.

The tank is full but reading empty.

Would this prevent the pump from working?

The other day ours wasn't working even though I had just put water in, at least half full. The Truma display warned about using the pump with 0% tank capacity, or something similar.
It turns out I had left the drainage valve next to the heater open, from it being in storage, and the water was just p!ssing out the bottom.

Bailey have a strange electrical system I think it's been mentioned on other threads if the tank registers empty the pump won't run.

Yes, if it thinks the tank is empty it won’t run, to protect the pump (although it is a diaphragm pump, so can run dry)
It can be overridden by holding the pump button on the control panel in continuously for as long as you need the pump to operate.
Obviously this is not very convenient long term, but is a short term solution.

Sounds like that’s the problem.

Any ideas on how to recalibrate?

Depends on his control panel. On mine in the Water Level menu there is a place where you start with an empty tank and tell the system it is empty, then fill the tank and tell the system it is full.
I think I used the Return button ( backwards arrow) to get into the sub menu in Water Level.
