Hi everybody and wondered if anybody has had a water pump problem on there Auto Sleepers Nuevo as a friend of mines pump has decided to start blowing 10amp fuses ! Was alright 3 months ago when parked up and drained for the winter but now with water topped up and pump switch in on position it blows the fuse ! Dont have a clue where the pump is so any info gratefully received! .

If it blows when the pump is put into service IE: pumping, then the pump may be seized or very slow to spin.

If it blows as soon as the pump is turned on at the panel ie: on but not pumping, it sounds like damaged wiring.....mice over winter possibly, mice love pvc wire sleeve

Pump location ....
Look up under the taps, if there's a pair of wires it will most likely be in the tank.
No wires it will be near the tank and have two blue hoses

I would think with that model it is almost certainly a submersible in the tank. Either seized as Pappjohn says or could be debris in the tank blocking the inlet side. Brother in Law had similar problem and discovered quite a lot of "tissue" paper in the tank. When stationery the paper settled at the bottom of the tank but whilst driving paper got disturbed and some found it's way to the pump inlet.

How did tissue paper get in the fresh water tank?

Same happened with one in my son's caravan after the winter lay-up.
The innards had rusted and seized.

You don’t say how old the Nuevo is but the more recent models have the pump in the tank. From the Autosleeper forum it’s a common problem that the pumps fail.
Recently I helped fit a pump to an Autosleeper Corinium. The pump in the tank wouldn’t work after being stood over winter. Rather than removing the tank we fitted a pump inside.
