Does anyone use a water pump to fill their van from buckets/containers ( I remember Jim mentioned this a few weeks back)?

If so, could you recommend one?

We have a Whale Superfil.
It came with our motorhome and as the motorhome is fitted with an external 12v socket, it is easy to use.
To be honest we have only used it once but it appeared to work well.

Last van I used to carry 2 x 20 Lt containers in the garage as it only had a 100 Lt tank. Fitted a Hella socket in the garage and used a submersible pump.

We use a whale superfil as well with a collapsible 30 litre container. Works really well for the odd occasion we use it.

Used one for years😊Fill up 25 ltr fiamma container(on wheels)transfer to camper tank by small submersible pump via ext socket.job done.

Nice idea!

Once the pump packs up, if you then replace it with the same pump as is used by your motorhome it would mean you have a spare pump, rather than carrying a spare pump as most of us do.

Thanks for all the comments. I might try a cheap one of EBay and hope for the best!

I have a fiamma roll along that I use only when on a rally and its a long way to the tap. A cheap 12v pump off eBay and I have a 12v motor motorbike size battery that I connect it to at the side of the van. Mainly cos I am to lazy to fit a 12v socket 😁👍
