My water pump (habitation) has been slowly dying over the past week or so.
I’ve had a cursory look for it, but problem is the van is full of stuff including duty free from our recent continental trip and it’s peeing down with rain. It used to be quite audible in use, but no longer so can’t locate by listening. Does anybody know a favoured location for Knaus/Weinsberg to locate the pump in a PVC?

Do not know your van but water pump can be anywhere even on similar models. Try garage, inside almost any cupboard. If you are full of gear, try to recal where noise used to be loudest. Usually accessible for service or replacement.

The original pump was in the tank but had been replaced with an external pump. I dropped the tank and removed the internal pump as was starting to block.

You’ll probably find out it’s in the most inaccessible place as usual.
In my A/S Symbol it’s underneath the floor of the locker beneath the cooker!
To remove the Shurflo pump I have to lay on the floor with a dentist’s mirror to reach the screws at the back which are out of sight. Great fun!!
Best of luck!!

Found it! It’s hidden in the tank, next challenge is finding the entry cable point for the electrics. Space to get my hand in around the back of the tank is impossible so some dismantling required I think.
The pump is a Barwig and I’ve found reference to a filter. Thing is I can’t figure out where a filter would be fitted - any thoughts?
