Fiat Bessacarr E740
Hi to every one, I have just joined this forum, And I need help straight away.

I am rather new to owning a motorhome, went away this weekend and all was ok.
However when I turned on the tap the water pump did not kick in, I eventually found that the fuse had blown so I replaced it and all was ok water was running fine. when I turned the tap on again the fuse had blown again, this happened several times until I got fed up of replacing the fuses and gave up on it. Does anyone have an idea what the problem could be and what I can do to put it right.
with D.I.Y I am pretty handy, if anyone has some advice That would be great thanks.

My motorhome is a 2003 fiat Ducato Bessacarr E740. Thank you All.

Sounds like the pump is u/s ..

Welcome.

I agree with Jim. Probably stalling on start up. Simplest solution is to find the pump, identify it's type and order a replacement. Often a pig to get to, but otherwise easy to change. You could just open it up and see if the impeller is stuck. If you free it off, it may do for a while. We had a 2008 Bessacarr 300 series for a while, and the Sureflow pump went on that. I replaced it, then was able to get a service kit so did the old one and carried as a spare that was never needed! Senet it with the van as the current one has a different pump.

PS: Do not put WD40 anywhere near it if the impellor has seized. You will taste it forever once you have pumped it all around the system.

What size fuse is it?
Reasonable question, but please do not simply put a bigger one in unless you want to risk a fire. Check the manual to ensure the one you are replacing with is the correct size.

What type of system do you have. Pressurised, or taps with switches?

If taps with switches it could be a wire issue.

Yes, I was going to point the finger at the same thing, but other Bessacarr owners spoke of the sureflow pump 🤷‍♂️ Hopefully OP will come back with an update.
If it is the micro switch taps, activating one at a time will give a clue where the fault lies.
Mike.
