Hi Guys

I am very new to motorhoming, this site and, not very technical so please be gentle!

I have an Autotrail 2010, it would appear that my water level gauge has broken.... I couldn't get any water through despite the thing saying it was full... now that it is full i still don't get any water.

I have read a couple of things, took off the shower head and sucked until my eyes popped out of my head, the pump sounds like its working and when you turn a tap on you get lots of gurgles and air but still nothing... i am convinced that the issue is between the tank and the pump and not from the pump onwards but could be wrong obviously.

Does anyone have some top tips or do i just have to go to the dealer?

thanks in advance!

Em

Is the hot water system drain valve closed? It's usually adjacent to the water heater and mine has a blue lever (don't know about Autotrails). If the lever is upright it's open, if it's flat it's closed.

Water level gauges are notoriously unreliable.
Have a look at the clear plastic filter on the inlet side of the pump.
If t froze over winter they can crack and let air in.

Sounds like a cracked filter, not the first this winter and unlikely to be the last. Just remove the filter from the piping, we haven't had one in-line for years.

Hi Guys

There was a dribble near the pump, its a clear piece with a metal filter inside? This is inside the van in one of the cupboards yes? if there was a leak there letting air in would i not get water through it? sorry if i am being a bit dim.
