I've got a Burstner Ixeo 680G with a water ingress problem. It's only 5 years old and I've owned it since February. I think the problem may be the forward skylight and where it is situated seems to sit in a pool of water after rainfall. I'm thinking maybe it needs taking out and resealing, anyone else had this problem

If there isn't a roof joint in the same area which may be the cause its worth taking it out.
While it's out check the timber frame between inner and outer skins around the opening for rot.

When you put it back use the mastic tape underneath the outer frame it will ensure a good seal.

Also, ours pools when it rains and the sealant does degrade if it spends a long time under water. So f it’s parked up at home for a while I put ours up on ramps to ensure the roof drains as quickly as possible.

Not sure if this is relevant, but Hymer have a 10 year water ingress guarantee. Hymer and Burstner are the same stable so if the previous owner has paid the extortionate service and damp check fees it could be covered.

Just a thought.

Thanks everybody. It’s not a job I think I can do myself but I will get the ramps out. It’s not under warranty as previous owners didn’t get it serviced as per warranty schedule. The man at Timberland Chesterfield seemed happy when he told me that

Don't panic. Simple job if not a bit annoying. If you don't want to do it yourself plenty of workshops will take it on as it's a common issue

I have a 3 year old 690G ( and from Timberland)
Where is it pooling around the front skylight as my one doesn't seem to pool?
I have to make sure its sat on its seal properly when I close it or I will get a slight drip inside.
I tend to park mine on a slope at home so water always runs off the side, above the drivers door.
