I use a food grade hose to fill the water tank in my MH. Is there an attachment for the end which goes into the tank that allows one to stop the water flow?
When your tap is at the front left & your tank at rear right it's a performance running between the two. If the temperature falls again I risk an ice rink if I can't get to the tap in time 🤭

It's a rigid hose. I'm not sure I could actually kink it

if it is a standard size hose, just put a Hozelok fitting on the end. You would need two bits, a femaile type end to fit the spray head onto. I have had this one for years and just twist to turn on or off.

That's the sort of thing. I wasn't sure if Hozelock would fit but I'll give it a try

Ah, so presumably you don't travel with it?
When we travelled we took the hose. When I say rigid it not flexible or one of the flat type. You can't easily make it collapse on itself to stop water coming out as was suggested. It will coil but not fold

Use water filler cap as suggested by scotjimland and fit a “stop” female connector to hose end. When full, just disconnect female end and water stops. Turn off at tap and reconnect filler cap or other open device to drain water from hose. 👍🏻

Just get an in-line hose tap. Have a short piece of hose that goes in to the filler then the adapter then in-line tap and then another adapter and the rest of the hose to the water feed tap. Stay with the MH and turn off when full. No running backwards and forwards.

yes secures like the cap, but not as tight.

when using stand by the tap, not the van, and as soon as you hear water from over flow turn tap off.

Do you need to have the tank full all the time most drain the tank if not using mh then no problem with ice

This looks exactly what we need - does it actually securely lock on to the filler in the same way that the lockable cap does?
it twists in to secure, doesn't lock . I keep it in locker adjacent to filler always to hand. Can check water gauge while it's filling.

I'm in the MH.
The ice problem would come from water overflowing on to ground when temperatures are freezing. Dancing on ice time when I get out ⛸️
