CI Mizar gtl living
Hi, I vaguely remember seeing a thread about this some time ago but can't seem to find it. We have a 2007 CI Mizar, the waste tank outlet is a way back and can be difficult to position both over a drainage point or if using a bucket to empty. I'm sure I saw someone had used some plastic pipe to adapt this so that it dumped to the side, has anyone got a picture and dimensions of the piping needed please?

Thanks

Mike

I can't help with that, but, it amazes me why manufacturers place drainage points anywhere they can, and sometimes detrimental to the user.
I am a fan of US RV's, not everyone is, but, they have got it right.

The drain point is always on the same side, drivers side, all the same fitting, 3", so a universal waste pipe fits all, and the large waste tank can be drained in a matter of seconds. Easy to use drain handles, which are universal, and easy to see where the drain point is.

Why make it so difficult?

£15.68p for one of these from Screwfix. Once fitted onto your current waste discharge point you can then shove in a 40mm solvent weld piece into the open end of the elbow and you're free to create a pipe design to suit your vehicle

Thats black 40mm floplast solvent weld pipework from Screwfix. Cheap as chips. I reduced it down to 32mm using their 40mm x 32mm reducer, just because i use a wastemaster and the 32mm pipe discharges easier into the wastemaster opening.

I just use a push fit 40mm hose cut into 1.25m sections and joined by CAK Tanks hose joiners HFTJ040 40 mm. Hose sections store in a bag under the floor in the full width storage locker. Recently invested in an RV waste "slinky" hose which (although pricey) works very well, no more stones and bottles to support the hose. :giggle:
