Now then, here’s a thought!
My van is 21 years old BUT, old or new this can happen to any van due to little use recently and happened to me.
Wipers worked, motor to washers worked but no water.
Found out that constant “topping up” of the washer bottle without going right down to the dregs, and not great use of the washer water meant water standing in the washer bottle and yes, the build up of slime which smothered the input tube and filter and stopped the flow.
Took the washer bottle pump off, took out the washer bottle, cleaned bottle thoroughly and the tubes plus filter, replaced and refilled half full with new screenwash and water mixed , and now have water flow to the wipers.
Hope this is of help.
👍

I had a look online . All I could find was fuse f20 in the engine compartment and fuse F43 in the dashboard fuse box , but these only state they are for the windscreen wiper , I couldn’t find a fuse for the washer

Ok thank you I will try, maybe it’s the motor, I see they are cheap to replace

Check that all the pipes are connected as one may have come off and you are pumping water over the engine🤔

Any news/ resolution???

I think it’s the motor, I will get a new one and replace it, looks like the light needs removing to be able to put my hand down

Had to change mine when the van was around 10/12 years old. Bit awkward to fit, don't forget the washer.

Put a meter, or a bulb across the two wires suppling the motor and then see if you get a reading/light when you operate the lever.

so many folk put additives in the screen wash bottle. Left to sit, this breaks down and turns to jelly. When you take the pump out it is usually gummed up and the bottle needs flushing with hot water

it looks like the pump is just pulled out.
yes held in by a rubber bung. It can just be accessed without removing the light, but removal makes it easier

Just had mine replaced as it failed the MOT. Took 10 days to arrive from Italy. 17 plated x290.

I have an '02 Ducato and had to replace the washer pump and horn, on mine its a 15 minute job to take off the large front bumper for ease of access to both of them. 4 small screws holding the "Fiat" cross bar under the bonnet catch, one bolt each side under the wheel arch (at the end of small "retaining" bars) and two larger bolts under plastic caps at front. Got my washer pump from my local motor factors within 24 hours, they are generic.

If the pump isn’t working it may be worth trying with the wires reversed incase something is jamming it. They do appear to be out of stock at most places.

I went through 3 x washer bottle motors in our old Fiat based Hymer, so always carried a spare. ;) Not once did the fuse for that circuit blow, but the motors packed in or leaked. :-(

Cheers,

Jock. :)

Driving home today and had no windscreen washers, checked water level ok but couldnt hear pump working. Managed to get a photo of the pump and it doesnt look good, is it a new pump required?

Definitely a new pump needed and just a push fit and put the plug back on. Some vans it saves time and skinning your knuckles if you pop the headlight out to reach it.

It's an a class I can get a hand to it but how tight in the rubber grommet is it?

It's not particularly tight just pull and wiggle it. Very easy. A bit of vaseline will help to insert the new one

Rinse the washer bottle well before installing the new pump. Washer fluid tends to create a jelly like substance that ruins pumps

Found this on amazon , it appears to be the same as the latest ducato or is there any subtle differences?

With windscreen washers my first check is to wiggle a needle in the spray nozzle if neither is working, on basis that back pressure could stop the pump operating.
